Transportation & Accommodations:

For ferry information visit www.bcferries.com or call 1-888-223-3779. The ferries can be very busy on the weekend so you might want to make reservations.

Accommodations will book fast and get quite pricey so we recommend booking well in advance.  There are a variety of types of lodging in Nanaimo and the surrounding area.  We suggest checking out a very resourceful website www.hellobc.com to see a list of B&B, motels, hotels, campgrounds and RV parks.  The Howard Johnson Hotel is only about a 10 min drive from Westwood Lake and offers wireless internet and friendly service to make your stay always a pleasant one (mention that you are an ALS AC participant when booking)! If you are looking for a great, clean and unique Guest House/ Hostel we suggest checking out www.paintedturtle.ca (they have couples rooms available as well).
